Taegoon wants to be his own man, stop asking about Jaejoong

Around a year ago, Taegoon made his debut with the single Call Me. Back then, he had the label of “being the friend of TVXQ’s Jaejoong” and it seems this has put a negative impact on him.

In a recent episode of I’m Friends with Jaejoong My Name Is Taegoon, Taegoon stated that he didn’t want to be asked about Jaejoong anymore. He stated, “A lot of people thought less of me because they think I’m using my friendship with Jaejoong and taking advantage of him for fame. I’ve talked to Jaejoong about this issue and we’re both hurt by it. It’s troublesome, I don’t like troubling my friends like that.”

Poor guy, hopefully in the near future he’ll be known for his own deeds more so than his friends. He has a lot of talent and he has the tools to be a superstar, it just needs to be harnessed and promoted correctly. Thanks to Yan for sending in the tip.

[NEWS] Taegoon: A handmade fan with Jaejoong's face on it was given to me

Taegoon also commented on some memorable fans, "One person came to support me with a handmade round fan, however, instead of having my face on it, the face of Jaejoong was there. Though I think it means that my fan also supports him... but because he's a friend that I love, and a true friend, I was happy."

[News] Taegoon thinks Jaejoong is strong-willed...

Korea’s most anticiptated new singer, Taegoon, said that TVXQ’s Jaejoong has strong willpower, considering him a real senior.

Last 11th of July, Taegoon held a fanmeeting and concert in Japan, and before this fanmeeting happened, there was a short interview.

- The MV of your debut song “Call Me” had TVXQ’s Jaejoong as part of the cast. Please talk about your experience.
I called Jaejoong on the phone and said, “I’m going to film my MV, please do come and help.” (laughs) To me, I didn’t know how good it was to be cast on an MV, but because Jaejoong was my best friend, I didn’t think much about it, but the people around me kept on saying, “Jaejoong is going to be on the MV!” On the day of filming, we filmed, but played then headed home. (laughs)

- With regards to your Japan debut, how will you look at TVXQ and Big Bang activities?
I wish to learn more about Japan’s music, therefore, I would like to have people seeing me dance with smiles and happiness. And besides, TVXQ and Big Bang are my seniors (laughs). Calling Jaejoong that gives me another feeling. (laughs) Their song and dance are the best, aren’t they? Jaejoong is my best friend, but as an artist, he’s my senior (laughs) and I respect him very much much. During the “Call Me” promotions, Jaejoong called and scolded me on the phone. He’s always helping me, as a strong-willed senior. For a Korean star to be having such success in Japan, I feel that they’re Korea’s pride.

[News] Jaejoong catches up with Taegoon in his car...

Especially in a time like this, Taegoon can’t help but to check up on TVXQ’s Hero Jaejoong.

“We see each other often. But I don’t know much (about things like the lawsuit). I didn’t want to pry when my friend was having such a hard time. I just eat with him, have tea and things like that.”

Taegoon has revealed that even though he has risen to stardom, because Hero Jaejoong is such a superstar, they practically have to prepare a 007 mission every time they meet.

“We usually meet in Jaejoong’s car. We drink coffee together after parking in the waterfront of the Han River. Uh, when I put it like that, it somehow sounds a little odd. (laughs)

[News] Jaejoong, Xiah Junsu, and Taegoon spotted at a wedding

Back in January we discovered that TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki’s Jaejoong was good friends with an upcoming rookie artist known as Taegoon. Well many months have passed and we haven’t seen much evidence of their friendship until now. They were both spotted recently hanging out in Pusan. Now, a week later they’ve been spotted once again, this time accompanied by TVXQ member Xiah Junsu (wearing cool glasses).

The trio were spotted at the wedding for Shin Seung Hwan and Yoon Hyun Young. Xiah Junsu was seen singing at the wedding while Taegoon and Jaejoong enjoyed the food and festivities. With Jaejoong hanging out with Taegoon a lot, maybe this will help him out by bringing more interest to his career. BBQ Chicken - Korea's No. 1 Chicken Restaurant

remember the BBQ Chicken that TVXQ did an ad for years ago???
it's in Singapore now...

and i tried it yesterday...
after the French movie "Coco Avant Chanel" (Coco before Chanel)

first things first...
it's not exactly a fast food restaurant like KFC...
as the waiters will come and take your order like in a restaurant...
the pricing is also higher than your normal fastfood restaurant...
the only thing is that the flour coating is a tad too thick to our liking...
a bit hard to cut through or poke with your fork and knife...
but the meat is AMAZINGLY SUCCULENT and JUICY!!!



Original Chicken

Marinated right through the meat with BBQ's unique recipe and secret Formula of 30 natural seasonings and cooked to golden perfection. Complete with golden fries and coleslaw.

my OLIVE SPECIALTY ORIGINAL CHICKEN set had 1 breast & 1 thigh with wing (ORIGINAL) with mayo potato salad and steamed seasonal vegetables... this costs SGD12.90...
e breast meat was as succulent as the thigh meat, and it was piping hot...
juices flowing out when i cut into it...
yum yum...
the potatoes with mayo was a bit over the top as i felt like it was flooded with mayo... but the steamed seasonal vegetables as another side was good to balance out the fattening fried chicken...



Hot Hot Drum

Get ready to be thrilled by the hot and spicy taste from Korea! Hot red pepper grain and paste sauce generously spread over crispy and juicy chicken. Complete with golden fries and coleslaw.

tedheads ordered the OLIVE SPECIALTY HOT HOT DRUM CHICKEN with mashed potato and salad using her student pass...
so she got it at a discounted price of SGD7.90, instead of the normal SGD13.90
the mashed potato is DELICIOUS... it's different from KFC's but tastes more like the mid range restaurants like Billy Bombers, cos there's garlic added in the mashed potatoes...
i love the HOT HOT DRUMS...
it's spicy to my liking...
don't be fooled when you first bite into it, cos the spiciness comes after...
it's a spicy aftertaste from the hot red pepper paste and dried red pepper powder that they always use in their cooking I think...

Korean Charboiled

Using only the most tender leg meat, it is marinated in a natural sauce made of 30 secret ingredients then roasted first with hardwood charcoal, then followed by earthenware. Definitely a must try at BBQ Chicken.

googolia had the GRILLED SPECIALTY KOREAN CHARBROILED chicken with mashed potato and salad...
also using her student pass... so she got it at a discounted price of SGD7.90, instead of the normal SGD14.60 it's not spicy, but tastes of authentic Korean BBQ marinate... if it was warmer it would have tasted even better...

they were out of CHICKEN CUTLET...
i guess Singaporeans are rather unadventurous when it comes to food...
they tend to stick to the usual, normal stuff... that's why there were no more chicken cutlets...
and most tables were having the KOREAN CHARBROILED or the ORIGINAL... not many seem to dare to try the HOT HOT DRUM...


nice health note is that they use olive oil to cook their food...
so i can eat safely, knowing it's healthier, as if it was my mum's cooking...
this will now rank 2nd in my fave fried chicken restaurants...
1st will be Popeye's still...
KFC has dropped to 3rd...
